4th of July FIreworksIndependence Day is right around the corner. What are your plans? There are plenty of fun 4th of July events happening in and around the Indianapolis area in the coming days. Here is our list including the 4th of July fireworks schedule.

2017 Indianapolis Fireworks & Independence Day Celebrations

Circle City Biathlon and 5K

July 4, 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. 

Tow Yard Brewing Company

Indianapolis

This race will start with a 5k run followed by a 10-mile bike ride. After finishing the 5k, free finisher beer is available from Tow Yard. Different divisions are offered. 

Firecracker 6

July 4, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

Indianapolis City Market

The 8th Annual Firecracker 6 is a 6-Mile and 6K Run/Walk through downtown Indianapolis. 

Independence Day Social

July 4, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site

Indianapolis

Visit the home of Benjamin Harrison and enjoy ice cream and vintage games like hoops and graces or croquet on the south lawn. You can even sign your name to the Declaration of Independence. Enjoy a tour, complete with historic enactors.

Rooftop Garden Cocktail Lounge 4th of July Party

July 4, 7 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. 

Fountain Square Theatre

Indianapolis

This reservation-only event (must be 21) is on the rooftop of the Fountain Square Theatre. It includes appetizers, a BBQ dinner,  dessert, beer, wine, margaritas and soft drinks. For entertainment, Duckpin bowling and a great view of the fireworks from Regions Tower will cap off the night. Visit the website for ticket information. 

IPL Downtown Freedom Blast

July 4, 6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Indiana War Memorial and Museum

Indianapolis

This free event will feature live entertainment and family fun in the Royal Pin Leisure Centers Kids Area. Fireworks are launched from Regions Tower.

July 4, 3 to 11 p.m. 

St. Mary Catholic Church

Enjoy your favorite Latino & American food, live entertainment and an open-air market.  A beer garden, a kid’s area, and games will be available.

Concerts on the Canal

July 4, 5 to 9:30 p.m. 

Indiana Historical Society

Indianapolis

The Indianapolis Municipal Band will be performing patriotic tunes and marches from 5 to 6:15 p.m., followed by Tad Robinson, who will perform from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Enjoy a baseball game and then stick around for the fireworks show after the game.

 

2017 Carmel Fireworks & Independence Day Celebrations

CarmelFest: An Independence Day Celebration

July 3, 3 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.; July 4, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

1 Civic Square and surrounding locations 

Carmel, Ind.

Events include an outdoor festival and a Freedom Run, along with a parade, live music, and the Fireworks Spectacular for the grand finale. See the event site for details.

 

2017 Noblesville Fireworks & Independence Day Celebrations

Noblesville Fourth of July Festival and Fireworks

July 4, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. 

Noblesville High School

Noblesville, Ind.

Free activities and games available. Food and beverages are available for sale. Live music starts at 7 p.m., and the fireworks show begins  at 10 p.m.

2017 Blast on the Bridge

July 4 starting at 6pm

Fall Creek Road Bridge, near Geist Marina

Fishers, Indiana

Food and beverages are available for purchase on the bridge. Fireworks start at 10:15pm. 

Independence Celebration Concert & Fireworks

July 3 at 7pm

Witten Park, 13257 Saxony Blvd.

Fishers, Indiana

Saxony presents it’s annual Independence Day celebration at Witten Park. The event features live music from My Yellow Rickshaw, various food trucks and fireworks end the evening. Admission is free and outside food and drinks are allowed.

Star Spangled Symphony with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra

June 30 to July 4 at 8 p.m.

Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn, 13400 Allisonville Road

Fishers, Indiana

Tickets for the June 30th show are $10 for students and $20 for general admission. For the other four nights, admission is $35 for adults and $13 for children with premium seating available. Fireworks will wrap up each night’s performance.
