Fall in Indiana is my favorite. I love the smells, the colors and the food. Be sure to take full advantage of fall this year and check out some of these festivals happening in our area!

 

Covered Bridge Festival in Parke County

What: Food, craft vendors, entertainment, antique stores, theater performances and more. Come visit this national renowned festival in Rockville celebrating this small town’s heritage.

When: October 10-19, 2014, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

42nd Annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival at Stonycreek Farm in Noblesville

What: Hayrides, farm animals, a haunted house, delicious food and much more! Open every day of the week until the end of October, you can bring your family to pick pumpkins and enjoy an afternoon of fall fun on the farm.

When: September 27 – October 31, 2014

Open to the public 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Fall Harvest Festival at Waterman’s Family Farm

What: Hayrides, pumpkin patch, train ride, corn maze, pony rides and a wide variety of activities at two locations in the Indianapolis area. Waterman’s Family Farm offers activities for all ages – this event is truly family friendly!

When: Through the end of October. 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily at Raymond Street, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily in Greenwood.

Pumpkinfest at Country Market in Zionsville

What: Corn maze, hayrides, farm animals, pumpkin decorating, bluegrass music, face painting and delicious fall treats. Come out to this family-owned farm for some of your own fall family fun!

When: Every weekend in October and the first weekend in November 2014

Saturdays: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sundays: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Headless Horseman at Conner Prairie

What: Every year at “Conner Scairie,” you can take a haunted hayride, a costume runway show for kids, magic shows, a variety of delicious fall treats and much more.

When: October 10-12, 16-19 & 23-26, 2014

Gates open 6-9 p.m. Activities and hayrides may run past 10 p.m.
