Looking for a way to spend a fun night out in the city? Downtown Indianapolis has plenty to offer residents of all ages looking for a way to enjoy those warm, summer nights.

Shopping on Mass Ave: Massachusetts Avenue is full of vintage shops and boutiques for a shopping experience unlike anything else in the city. Check out Mass Ave Toys, an educational toyshop, or Silver in the City, a quaint gift and jewelry spot, which are both fun places to window shop.

 

Swing Dancing: On Friday, the Fountain Square Theater is transformed into a Big Band style swing dance hall. Beginners can learn to swing dance by taking lessons from 7:30 until 8:30, and then enjoy dancing the rest of the evening to the tune of live musicians. Monument Circle at Night: Take a stroll around Indy’s famous Monument Circle and pass the time by watching the horse-drawn carriages or twinkling city lights. There are even a few snack shops open late nearby, like the South Bend Chocolate Company. It’s a great, cheap way to spend a night enjoying the Indianapolis atmosphere.
