Tuesday Trends – Matte Finish Appliances
Chances are if you have remodeled your kitchen or picked out appliances in the last few years, you selected traditional stainless steel appliances. In recent years, nothing has been more on trend than a kitchen with granite countertops, subway tile backsplash and shiny stainless steel appliances. As with any trend, tastes change over time as those of us on the cutting edge want to see something new and different. The rest of us then to catch up over time. One trend that started in the higher end appliance space and is make its way to the mainstream consumer is matte finish. Different varieties are available from black to dark gray to white and even some brighter colors such as red and navy. These finishes are also great for families with young kids as they tend to resist fingerprints much better than traditional stainless steel.
