Fall is officially here – pumpkins, apple cider and cooler weather. As summer fades into fall, it’s time to switch up your outdoor decoration! Here are a few fun, easy ideas for adding a little autumn flair to your home.

Fall door wreath

There are so many unique, fun ways to adorn your door with color this fall. Try using spider mums or dried leaves to add a welcoming accent to your front door. If you’re feeling really crafty, try wrapping straw wreath with different colors of yarn and adding yarn and adding an array of yarn pom poms.

Pumpkins

Pumpkins are a classic fall decoration. This year, try adding a touch of paint to your pumpkins – bats, stenciled designs or a welcome message are easy and fun ways to make your porch stand out.

Flowers

Mums are the traditional flowers for fall – who doesn’t love those vibrant reds and oranges? Instead of putting your mums or other fall floral arrangements in an urn or large vase, try putting them inside a pumpkin! It’s easy – all you have to do is hollow out the pumpkin and place your arrangement (mounted on a piece of wet floral foam) inside the pumpkin. Learn more about how to make a pumpkin vase here.

Fall pennant

Burlap is a great fall outdoor fabric to use in your décor. Try creating a fall pennant out of burlap. Words, polka dots, stripes or other designs and shapes add a unique element to your pennant. Use burlap, twine and a hot glue gun to create the pennant and then add a design or message using fabric paint. Learn how to make a burlap pennant here.
