Beautiful fireworks close-up against dark skyThis Fourth of July, you’ll be planning barbeques, picnics, and somewhere to celebrate the nation’s birthday. Well, here are some places around the area that deliver a stunning backdrop of fireworks and fun to your evening!

 

Regions Bank Freedom Blast

When:  9:45pm

Where: Regions Bank Tower 1 Indiana Square in Indianapolis, Indiana 46204

Admission: Free

Details: Annual display shot from the top of the Regions Bank Tower, the biggest fireworks display in Indiana can be seen for ten miles around downtown Indianapolis

 

Star Spangled Symphony

When:  8:00pm

Where: Connor Prairie 13400 Allisonville Rd in Fishers, Indiana 46038

Admission: Adult: $31; Child: $12;

Details: The ISO will be performing patriotic music, including the 1812 Overture (that’s the one with the cannon) and ending with the Stars and Stripes Forever accompanied by fireworks.

 

Indiana State Fair – Lucas Oil Demo Derby Fireworks

When:  Dusk

Where: Fairgrounds 1201 E. 38th St. in Indianapolis, Indiana 46205

Admission: $8 fair admission; special events have additional pricing

Event Details: Grandstand event. Fair runs August 7-23, 2015 with lots of events every night!

 

Hoosier Park HoosierFest

When: Fireworks at Dusk

Where: Hoosier Park Racing & Casino 4500 Dan Patch Circle in Anderson, Indiana 46013

Event Details: Free admission, with unlimited carnival rides starting at $25.  Fireworks and live music as well!

Plainfield Fourth of July Extravaganza

When:  5:00pm-dusk

Where: Hummel Park 1500 S. Center St. in Plainfield, Indiana 46168

Admission: Fireworks free, other activities may include a fee.

Details: Events begin at 5pm with a bounce house, climbing wall and giant slide.  At 7pm, there will be a concert by the Hendricks Symphonic Society, followed by the fireworks at dusk!

 

Blast On The Bridge

When:  5:30-11:00 pm

Where: Geist Reservoir Bridge 11691 Fall Creek Rd. in Fishers, Indiana 46256 Admission: Fireworks are free; some events/activities may include a fee

Details: Attendees bring lawn chairs to enjoy an evening featuring a boat parade, skydivers, music, food vendors, and a KidsZone, all topped by an amazing fireworks show scheduled to start at dark.

 

Indypendence Day Street Fest

 When: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Where: Georgia Street – Downtown Indianapolis

General Admission: $20

Details: The inaugural INDYpendence: Concert for Cancer attracts over 5500 attendees on Georgia Street to raise money for the St. Francis Hospital Patient Assistance Fund and The Leukemia Lymphoma Society of Indiana. This year, Panic at the Disco will be performing!
