Lawrence Township Community Update!

As we begin 2010, I thought I would give you an update on the status of the real estate market, schools and additional community information for Lawrence Township.

First, let’s start with the real estate market :

In 2008, there were 1,575 properties sold with the highest priced property being sold for $1,525,000 and the lowest priced property selling for $4,000.

In 2009:

1,493 properties sold

Highest priced sale –9332 Treasure Pointe – $1,650,000

2nd Highest Priced sale – 10733 Sand Key Circle (My Listing) – $1,166,500

Lowest Priced sale –4037 Essex Ct. – $700 Yes that is the correct sales price.

There are currently 857 Listings on the market in Lawrence Township with the highest priced listing being located at 9873 Hampton Cove, $3,200,000 on the water at Geist and the lowest priced listing being located at 4105 Desmond Avenue,$9,900 which is a bank foreclosure.

Don’t wait, in order to take advantage of  the $8,000 first time home buyer tax credit and the $6,500 repeat home buyer tax credit you must have an accepted purchase agreement but 4/30/2010 and close by 6/30/2010.

Lawrence Township School Update:

Those of us who live in Lawrence Township know about the changes taking place in our schools, with the closing of Craig Middle School and the 6th grade class rooms being moved out of the middle schools and back to the elementary schools, the shifting of principals, and the redistricting of the elementary schools.  These changes in focus and re-design with each elementary school having the designation as a magnet school will hopefully bring positive changes to Lawrence Township schools.

City of Lawrence Trash Removal Changes coming:
