New Businesses Opening in Fishers
Led by Mayor Scott Fadness, the city of Fishers continues to move at a significant pace towards being more than just a bedroom community that people have to leave in order to shop, dine at a local restaurant, or enjoy a night out. Here are some updates on significant projects coming the area in the near future.
Expected Opening: October 11, 2017
No more road trips to Cincinnati or Chicagoland for furniture! Swedish furniture giant, IKEA will have it’s much anticipated opening near 116th and USA Parkway in October. IKEA is known not only for it’s low cost furniture and home decor, but also their cafe that features dishes such as their famous Swedish Meatballs. Expect large crowds coming from all over the state to shop at this store.
Expected Opening: September 26, 2017
Chicago favorite Portillo’s opens it’s first Indianapolis area restaurant in just a few short weeks. Portillo’s is known for things such as Chicago-style hotdogs, Italian Beef and their famous chocolate cake shake. If you can’t wait for September 26, the restaurant is giving customers a chance to win admission to a “sneak peek training meal” before the grand opening. Register for that contest here. The new restaurant will be located off of 116th Street near I-69.

While we don’t yet have an opening date, Topgolf Fishers will be located at 9200 E 116th Street. Topgolf is a huge play land, featuring indoor and outdoor golf activities, a restaurant and sports bar. Think bowling alley meets driving range meets sports bar. You don’t need to be a serious golfer to enjoy TopGolf!
