It’s time to celebrate that the Polar Vortex days are far behind us, and summer has arrived in Indianapolis! This summer our city has so much going on. Here’s a brief outline of the activities, events and festivals that are coming up this month.

Summer concerts

Take a picnic basket, blanket and a lawn chair while you enjoy free local concerts in various spots around the cities. Carmel, Fishers and Greenwood are all hosting free concerts aimed at playing music the whole family can enjoy. Chow Down Midtown

Indianapolis Zoo Orangutan Center

The Indianapolis Zoo has just opened a brand new orangutan center. Strawberry Festival

The annual Strawberry festival is coming once again to Monument Square! On Thursday June 12 you pay $7 and enjoy delicious, fresh strawberry shortcake, ice cream and more. There will also be live entertainment! All proceeds go to local anti-bullying outreach charities.
