Any homeowners who are looking for a fun and interactive event to shake off the winter blues might want to head down to the 2014 Indianapolis Home Show at the State Fair Grounds. From product showcases to home stagings and celebrity guests, the show is full of home improvement ideas that can help spark some creative ideas of your own.

Here’s a brief overview of the big events at this year’s show. The designers at Fischer Homes have built a fully constructed home inside the Exposition Hall at the Fairgrounds. Step inside to take a look at trendy innovations that will give you an idea of what’s popular on the market today. Especially if you are planning on selling you home anytime soon, this exhibit may be worth seeing for yourself. You’ll gain valuable insight into what types of upgrades may be worth making before you begin showing your home.

In addition to the Centerpiece Home, there are landscaping exhibits, a butterfly house, a beer garden and cooking competitions to benefit Gleaner’s Food Bank. Plus, designers and vendors from all over will be setting up booths, which means you’ll be able to explore and discover some unique products. And a number of famous writers, designers, cooks and TV personalities will be making appearances as well.
