It is that time of year when you love to visit your local Geist eateries! We have a vast variety to choose from, from coffee shops to very glamorous establishments. Let me take you on a tour of some of them:
Mama Bears – 10110 Brook School Road ,Fishers, Indiana 46038 (317) 598-9663
There’s only one thing better than enjoying breakfast or lunch in the friendly atmosphere of Mama Bear’s Bakery & Café. That’s taking a whole pie home and savoring it later. Choose the Burgundy Berry pie for a taste of what Indianapolis Dine magazine ranked as one of the six best pies in the city. Other popular pies include pecan, Dutch apple and chocolate cream, as well as such seasonal delights as sweet potato, strawberry rhubarb and pumpkin. Featuring the coziness, liveliness and specialty espresso drinks of a neighborhood coffee shop, Mama Bear’s boasts a lunch menu to rival that of a sandwich place. From the veggie deluxe and handmade egg salad sandwich to the tuna melt and roast beef classic, there’s something for everyone among the tempting choices. Seven kinds of bagels top the list of breakfast offerings, which also include quiche Lorraine, yogurt parfait and Swiss muesli. The coffee bar operates on the honor system, which says a lot about the kind of place that Mama Bear’s Bakery & Café is.

“We offer really good pizza, breadsticks and wings that are worth the wait.”
They make about 77 pounds of fresh dough daily at Apezza along with their own sauce and their own Italian blend of sausage. They also have a secret cheese blend for toppings.
A few specialty pizzas are offered, but the basic small pizza starts at $8.95 and the large at $12.95. Apezza is carry-out and delivery to the immediate Geist area only.
The menu reads:
We could be like everyone else and get your pizza to you in 20 minutes. But if we did that our pizza would taste like the other guys and honestly, we just wouldn’t feel right about that.
