Just because vacation’s drawing to an end (at least for some of us), doesn’t mean the joy has to stop! You and the kids want to squeeze the most out of the remaining summer before the back-to-school stresses begin. Luckily, there are still some amazing events going on in the Indy and Broad Ripple area to help out with that. Viva la Fun!

Indianapolis Marsh Symphony on the Prairie

When: Fridays and Saturdays

Where: Conner Prairie Interactive History Park

Details: The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra presents the 34th year of Marsh Symphony on the Prairie! $14 general admission; your ticket to some of the most talented musicians in Central Indiana. Bring chairs, blankets, and the rest of your family, and enjoy an amazing music-filled night.

Super Weekend at the Brickyard

When: July 24th-26th

Where: Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Details: Indianapolis is the hub of American sports car racing, and the upcoming weekend is going to feature four exciting races. The Lilly Diabetes 250 Nationwide Series race and NASCAR Sprint Cup practice and qualifying is on Saturday, July 25. A must for all racing fans!

Gen Con 2015

When: July 30th-August 2

Where: Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium

Details: Do you like games? Gen Con Indy is the longest-running and biggest gaming convention in the world. There’ll be thousands of gaming events, including themed events, as well as an art show, film festival, and a costume contest.

Food Truck Fridays

When: July 24th– September 25th on Fridays (when else?); 11:00 AM

Where: 250 W. Georgia St., Indianapolis, IN 46225

Details: There’s food involved, including some of the best of Indy’s mobile dining. Grab your friends and head out to grab lunch and enjoy the sights of sounds of Indy.

Broad Ripple Farmers’ Market

When: Saturdays at 8:00 AM

Where: 1115 Broad Ripple Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46220

Details: What a perfect way to spend Saturday morning! Get the freshest and most delicious at this farmer’s market consortium, all the while enjoying some time out with friends and family.
