Valentine’s Day 2018 in Indianapolis
Can you believe it? Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Whether you are happily in a relationship and love treating your special someone to a night on the town, single and want to do something different, or have kids and are looking for a family friendly Valentine’s Day activity, Indy has something to offer for everyone this year. Indianapolis and the surrounding areas are home to so many great Italian options if your sweetie loves pasta and a glass of wine, but to hit our personal favorite, venture north to Noblesville’s town square and visit Matteo’s. This family owned gem offers some of the best pasta dishes around and an excellent selection of wine. They also recently added a second location on the north side of Indianapolis!

Maybe you are looking for something a little lighter than steak or pasta? Although we aren’t known for our seafood, Indy is home to a few good spots and Ocean Prime is one of our favorites to get a great fish dish. We love their Florida Grouper and be sure to try the Berries & Bubbles cocktail with dry ice smoke!

Single and hate Valentines Day? Go see one of the Midwest’s top cover bands, Rod Tuffcurls & The Bench Press, at The Vogue in Broad Ripple. This might be just the place to meet that special someone you have been looking for or have a drink to forget about looking altogether! These guys always put on a great show and draw a big crowd so be sure to pick up a ticket in advance for the show on 2/10.
Couples Cheesemaking Class at Tulip Tree Creamery

If you’re looking for something a little different to do with your special someone, this might be just what you are looking for! Local cheese maker, Tulip Tree Creamery, is offering a special couples cheese making class on 2/10. Get your hands dirty and spend 2-3 hours learning about cheese, making cheese and eating cheese! Samples are included and this event is BYOB.
Valentines Day with Kids
Have a sense of humor and a stomach that can handle anything? Head to your local White Castle on Valentines Day for table side service complete with a white table cloth and everything! The kids will love the special occasion and the whole family can eat sliders for just a few dollars! Hint: bring the Tums for after dinner!
Ice Skating at “The Ice at Center Green”
If you’re looking for a fun activity that the whole family can enjoy while you still get to spend some quality time with your significant other, head to Carmel for ice skating at The Ice at Center Green. New this year, this outdoor rink has outstanding views of Carmel City Center and entry starts at only $6 for children 10 and under!
